Mission
As a church we believe passionately in mission, both within our local community and across the world. We might not be very rich, but the most important gift we can give those working overseas is prayer. The missionaries we support are listed here. We keep in touch by email and they visit when they are in the UK.
Debbie Howard
Debbie works in the Congo. Much of her work is with street children, teaching them in job skills and arranging apprenticeships for young men. She also instructs Sunday School teachers and youth workers. Debbie is a trained nurse. She can be contacted through Elim International Missions, PO Box 38, Cheltenham, Glos GL50 3HN or missions@elimhq.net.
Johnny and Heather Prentice
Johnny and Heather are in Allahabad, India. They are involved in children’s camps, bible school teaching, and social and relief work. You can contact them at jh.prentice@virgin.net.
Open Doors
Open Doors is an international organisation established to support Christians who suffer persecution because of their faith. We support Open Doors through special fundraising and prayer events throughout the year. We receive their newsletters and use dvds and teaching courses they have developed to inform the free church about Christians suffering persecution. Find out about the work of Open Doors at www.opendoorsuk.org.
Lighthouse International
We support Lighthouse International Missions and are proud to say that a gift to LIM from our church paid for the building of a church in Kadacha Nenthel, India. We also sponsor two children who live at a LIM orphanage in India. Read about LIM at www.limuk.org.
